Capgemini India Leadership Transition: Sanjay Chalke Appointed CEO

Mumbai: Capgemini has announced a major leadership transition in India, effective January 1, 2026. Ashwin Yardi, who has served as CEO of Capgemini in India for seven years, will retire from the role and take on the position of non-executive Chairman of the board in India.

Sanjay Chalke, currently Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Capgemini India, will succeed him as CEO and join the Group Executive Committee.

In his new role as non-executive Chairman, Ashwin Yardi will focus on strengthening relationships with key stakeholders and guiding Sanjay Chalke during the leadership transition.

Sanjay Chalke, as CEO, will reinforce Capgemini India’s strategic role in client delivery, talent development, and innovation, supporting the Group’s vision for growth and technological leadership.
